The search for a missing person in Clare County, Michigan, reached a tragic conclusion on the evening of Friday, April 28, 2023, when a resident walking their dog in a wooded area of Farwell discovered human remains. Law enforcement officers from the Michigan State Police Mt. Pleasant Post responded to the scene and confirmed the identity of the deceased as Jihad Adnan Nasser, a 26-year-old White / Caucasian male who had been the subject of an ongoing investigation.
Concerns for Jake’s welfare began months earlier when family members reported him missing on March 4, 2023. Relatives had not seen him since December 2022, and neighbors reported they had not spotted him since January. The situation escalated when he failed to attend a memorial service for his mother, who had passed away in February. During the search efforts, authorities had released descriptions of his vehicle, a red and black 2016 Pioneer 700 side-by-side, hoping to generate leads from the public.
Following the discovery of his body, investigators examined the scene and determined that he had died from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
