On July 9, 2024, at approximately 12:45 a.m., Saginaw police responded to reports of gunfire in the 3300 block of Ruckle Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered 31-year-old Equayvis Moten lying in a driveway, suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, marking Saginaw's 13th homicide of the year.
