In the early hours of March 6, 2023, the life of 31-year-old Jarell Thompson of Washington, D.C., was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting in the unincorporated section of Hyattsville, Maryland. Responding to a call at approximately 12:15 a.m. in the 3500 block of 52nd Avenue, Prince George's County police officers discovered Thompson inside a vehicle, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
