In the spring of 2023, the life of Joshua David Tingler, a 38-year-old male known in his community as the boxer 'Showtime,' was abruptly and violently cut short. On the evening of April 19th, in the 1900 block of Grinnalds Avenue in Southwest Baltimore, gunshots shattered the night. When police arrived at the scene around 9 p.m., they discovered Tingler suffering from a fatal gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
