Alexandra's 42-year-old husband, George Edward Huff, also of Riva. In the parking lot on Somerville Road, George Huff shot his wife and 38-year-old George Michael Petrullo of Annapolis. Following the shootings, he turned the gun on himself. When law enforcement arrived at the scene, they found Alexandra Abbott Huff and George Edward Huff deceased.
George Michael Petrullo, despite being wounded, managed to drive a short distance to a nearby shopping center where he sought help and 911 was called. He was quickly transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries. The motive for the tragic events has not been publicly detailed by investigators.
