On July 2, 2023, in North East, Maryland, 45-year-old Christopher Blaine Thomas and 34-year-old Ashley Dove Brown were found deceased in their residence on Bethel Church Road. A concerned relative discovered the couple unconscious after failing to reach them and contacted authorities around 10 a.m. Upon arrival, deputies from the Cecil County Sheriff's Office pronounced both individuals dead at the scene. Subsequent autopsies confirmed that Thomas and Brown died from gunshot wounds.
