In the autumn of 2023, the life of a 31-year-old Black man named Prince Benson was tragically cut short in Baltimore, Maryland. His final known moments were on November 14, when he was reportedly on his way to purchase a car from a private seller in the 5000 block of Liberty Heights Avenue. After this meeting, he vanished, causing immediate concern among his family members when he failed to show up for work and calls to his phone went straight to voicemail.
A week of anxious waiting
turned to grief on November 21, when Baltimore Police Department officers responded to a call about an unresponsive male in a wooded area. In the 2500 block of North Dukeland Street in the northwest part of the city, they discovered Mr. Benson's body. It was determined that he had sustained a fatal gunshot wound. His body was then taken to the Medical Examiner's office for an autopsy to officially determine the cause of death.
The Baltimore Police Department's Homicide Division is actively investigating the case, which has been ruled a murder. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with Prince Benson's death, and authorities have not publicly identified any suspects.
