On January 26, 2024, Kareem Gee, a 20-year-old resident of Baltimore, Maryland, was fatally shot in the 1200 block of East Preston Street. Baltimore Police officers responded to reports of a shooting and found Gee suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Emergency medical services transported him to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was pronounced dead despite life-saving efforts.
