On July 8, 2017, 18-year-old Victor Pulido Ayala was fatally shot in west Phoenix, Arizona. The incident occurred shortly before 6 p.m. near 67th Avenue and Van Buren Street during an illegal drug transaction. Ayala, along with 18-year-old Luis Rodriguez Luna, sustained critical gunshot wounds and were transported to Banner Estrella Medical Center, where both were pronounced dead.
