On September 13, 2024, Yant Junior Gomez, a 31-year-old man from Harlem, New York, was fatally shot in the parking lot of the Arundel Mills Mall in Hanover, Maryland. The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. when police responded to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found Gomez suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso. Despite immediate medical assistance and transport to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, he was pronounced dead en route to the hospital.
