In the Pen Lucy neighborhood of Baltimore, on the afternoon of October 10, 2024, a burst of gunfire shattered the autumn air, leaving two men with fatal injuries. One of these men was 34-year-old Davon C. Gray, a Black male from Baltimore. The incident unfolded at approximately 2:32 p.m. in the 800 block of Gilrubin Court.
Responding to reports of a shooting, Baltimore Police officers arrived at the scene to find Gray suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Paramedics quickly transported him to a local hospital, but despite the efforts of medical personnel, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Shortly after Gray's arrival at the hospital, another victim, 25-year-old Shyheim Hunt, was brought in with multiple gunshot wounds from the same incident. He too was pronounced dead.
The investigation into the double homicide is ongoing. As of now, authorities have not publicly identified any suspects or made any arrests in connection with the killings of Davon C. Gray and Shyheim Hunt. Baltimore Police homicide detectives are actively investigating the circumstances that led to the fatal shootings and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
