In the early hours of May 28, 2023, a violent altercation in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, claimed the life of 43-year-old Erick "KRA" Edwards, a Black/African American male. The incident unfolded around 12:15 a.m. near the intersection of 37th and Townsend Streets, shattering the predawn quiet and leaving a community in mourning. Another man, 42-year-old Tavaris Thomas, also lost his life in the shooting.
