In the city of Milwaukee, a weekend in the early autumn of 2023 was shattered by violence that claimed the life of a young man. Seleick H. Brown, a 17-year-old Black male, found his life cut tragically short on Saturday, September 9, 2023. The day was fading, and at around 5 p.m. in the neighborhood near 46th and Clarke, the sharp retort of gunfire echoed through the streets. When the sound subsided, Brown had been struck.
