In the evening hours of April 10, 2024, a burst of violence shattered the quiet of a Milwaukee neighborhood, claiming the life of Tyrone J. Moore-Lewis. A Black/African American male, Moore-Lewis was 27 years old at the time of his death. The fatal encounter unfolded around 8:15 p.m. near the intersection of 91st Street and West Congress Street, where gunfire erupted in what authorities have described as a triple shooting.
When police arrived at the scene, they found three individuals
suffering from gunshot wounds. Moore-Lewis had sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other victims, a 44-year-old and a 34-year-old, were also struck by the gunfire. Their injuries, however, were not life-threatening, and they were transported to a local hospital for medical attention.
The initial investigation by the Milwaukee Police Department suggests that the shooting may have stemmed from a domestic violence incident. In a significant development, the two surviving individuals from the shooting were taken into custody by law enforcement. As of the latest reports, charges against the two suspects were pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
