Atem Mathiang

In the summer of 2024, a young man named Atem Mathiang, aged 19, traveled from his home in Michigan to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, to spend time with his cousins and aunts. His visit, however, was cut tragically short on the night of July 2nd. On that Tuesday evening, on Wisconsin Street, the male teenager was shot multiple times in what authorities have described as an unprovoked attack. His family was devastated to learn of his death when his aunt returned home from work after 1 a.m.
