In the summer of 2023, a life full of promise was tragically cut short in Moore, Oklahoma. Kemaj Ali McHenry, a 16-year-old Black male, was fatally wounded in a drive-by shooting on June 25, 2023. He succumbed to his injuries the following day, leaving a community to grapple with the senselessness of youth violence. Kemaj, a student at Capitol Hill High School, was remembered for his vibrant personality and the happiness he brought to those who knew him.
