In the late afternoon of Saturday, April 27, 2024, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace at the Quail Ridge Apartments in Oklahoma City. When police responded to the scene near Memorial Road and May Avenue around 4:25 p.m., they discovered 18-year-old Tre Hill-Womack suffering from a critical gunshot wound. Emergency services transported the young Black male to a local hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he died later that day.
