On a summer evening in Seattle, Washington, a young life was tragically cut short. Fourteen-year-old Ayub Asad Hashi, a male of Middle Eastern/Arab descent, was riding his scooter in the NewHolly neighborhood on June 27, 2024. At approximately 8:20 p.m., in the 7400 block of Rockery Drive South, the sound of gunfire shattered the evening calm. Ayub was struck by a gunshot to the chest.
