On January 14, 2023, 42-year-old Christopher Marteen was fatally shot near a McDonald's at 3554 South High Street in Columbus, Ohio. Reports indicate that Marteen was searching for his stolen vehicle when he was shot in the chest around 9 a.m. He was transported to Grant Medical Center in life-threatening condition and later succumbed to his injuries.
