On May 5, 2023, Paris Garrett, a 29-year-old resident of Cleveland, Ohio, was fatally shot outside the Wolf Cove Apartments in Bedford. He was shot alongside 23-year-old Jermeer Banks. While Banks succumbed to his injuries at the scene, Garrett was transported to South Pointe Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
