On May 19, 2023, in Toledo, Ohio, 49-year-old Jeremy Black and 35-year-old Kayla Coleman were found deceased in the lower unit of a residence on the 1800 block of Broadway Street. Both victims had sustained at least one gunshot wound. Their deaths marked the 13th and 14th homicides in Toledo for that year.
