On May 30, 2023, at approximately 5:15 p.m., 34-year-old Joshua Aaron Kutscher was fatally shot on Norwood Road, just south of Bonna Avenue, in Cleveland's St. Clair-Superior neighborhood. Officers arrived to find Kutscher on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds to his legs. He was transported to University Hospitals, where he was pronounced dead.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Kutscher had been seen walking with an unknown male near an abandoned home shortly before the shooting. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Kutscher, originally from Conneaut, Ohio, was born on May 31, 1988, in Fairmont, West Virginia. He graduated from Lakeside High School in Ashtabula in 2006 and was known for his strong work ethic across various jobs. His unexpected death has left his family and community seeking answers.
Authorities urge anyone with information about the incident to come forward to assist in bringing those responsible to justice.
