Michelle R. Duncan was a 43-year-old White woman from Price Hill, Ohio, who dedicated her life to her four children. Born in Lima, she worked at an Amazon Fulfillment Center in Cincinnati and was described by her family as a spiritual person who loved gardening and animals. Above all, she was a devoted mother who rarely missed her children's activities, where she was known for being their loudest and most enthusiastic supporter in the crowd.
Her son later wrote that she was the heart and soul of their family, always putting her children's happiness first.
On the evening of Saturday, June 3, 2023, Cincinnati police were dispatched to Michelle’s home on the 900 block of Enright Avenue just before 10 p.m. for reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found Michelle inside the residence. She had suffered at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities noted that other people were in the house when the shooting occurred.
The following day, police arrested Michelle’s husband, 42-year-old Jeremy Duncan, in connection with the fatal shooting. He was subsequently charged with murder. Court records indicated that the couple shared the same address on Enright Avenue.
Jeremy Duncan appeared in court on June 5, 2023, where a judge set his bond at $1 million. He was later indicted by a Hamilton County grand jury on the murder charge. As of March 2024, he remained in custody at the Hamilton County Justice Center awaiting trial. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call the Cincinnati Police Department's Homicide Unit at (513) 352-3542.
