Caroleen Powell Barnes, aged 65, was found dead on February 12, 2020, in her home in Woodruff, South Carolina. The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office reported that both Caroleen and her husband, Malcolm Eugene Barnes, 63, were discovered with single gunshot wounds to their heads. The deaths were determined to be the result of a murder-suicide, with Malcolm Barnes being the perpetrator.
