On June 8, 2023, at approximately 12:46 a.m., Springfield police responded to reports of a shooting at B’s Corner Private Club and Lounge, located at 1128 N. Burnett Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered two men with multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot. One of the victims, 32-year-old Kyle M. Harris, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other individual sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment.
B’s Corner had been the subject of 16 police calls since March 1, 2023, involving incidents such as loud noise, fights, assaults, thefts, vandalism, and disorderly conduct. Despite this history, the fatal shooting on June 8 marked the first homicide at the establishment. This incident contributed to Springfield's total of five homicides in 2023.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and authorities have not released information regarding potential suspects or motives. The Springfield Police Division continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and urges anyone with information to come forward.
Kyle Harris was born on September 26, 1990, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Cynthia S. Kristoff. He graduated from Springfield High School and was an avid sports enthusiast, particularly enjoying basketball and football. He is survived by his wife, Tiffani; five children: Kaiden, A’lenah, A’niyah, A’layla, and Kyle Jr.; his brother, Nick Kristoff; and numerous other family members and friends. Private services were held in his honor.
