In August 2023, a Cuyahoga County grand jury indicted eight individuals on charges related to a series of car thefts and violent crimes. Among them, Jordan Hicks, Jaylon Hicks, and Dadren Carter were specifically charged with the shooting that resulted in Martin-Croom's death. Prosecutors allege that these three individuals were involved in the incident near St. Clair and Holmes Avenues, leading to the fatal outcome.
