On September 12, 2023, 35-year-old Ahmad Issa Faraj was fatally shot during an armed robbery at the intersection of West 73rd Street and Clark Avenue in Cleveland's West Boulevard neighborhood. Authorities indicated that Faraj was specifically targeted in this incident.
The perpetrators fled the scene in a stolen Honda Pilot, which they later set ablaze on East 186th Street.
Subsequent investigations led to the arrest of several individuals associated with the Fully Blooded Felons gang, a group known for violent activities and drug operations in the area. Among those arrested were Raven Mullins, identified as the gang's leader, and James Clemons, who is accused of being the gunman in Faraj's murder. Both face charges related to racketeering, murder, and other offenses.
Prosecutors have decided not to pursue the death penalty against Mullins, Clemons, or another suspect, Henry Burchett, in connection with this case. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding Faraj's death remains ongoing as authorities continue to gather evidence and pursue justice.
