On September 12, 2023, 35-year-old Ahmad Issa Faraj was fatally shot during an armed robbery at the intersection of West 73rd Street and Clark Avenue in Cleveland's West Boulevard neighborhood. Authorities indicated that Faraj was specifically targeted in this incident.
