On the night of September 28, 2023, Shaker Heights police responded to a disturbance report at a residence on Ludgate Road. Upon arrival, officers found four children outside and on the upper floors of the home. The children informed the officers that their father had shot their mother. Inside the residence, police discovered Danielle Harris, 35, and Lasteven Huckabee, 35, both deceased from gunshot wounds.
