On October 5, 2023, 17-year-old Marcel "Dooda" DeAntoine Arik Martin was fatally shot while seated in a vehicle near the intersection of Rugby Road and Rodman Court on Cleveland's east side. Emergency Medical Services pronounced him dead at the scene. A 21-year-old man, also in the vehicle, sustained critical injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The Cleveland Police Department initiated an investigation, but as of now, no arrests have been reported.
Born on September 7, 2006, Marcel was affectionately known as "Dooda." He was the firstborn of LaTonya Elise Adams and Kevin DeAntoine Martin, bringing joy and excitement to his family. Marcel's mischievous nature and vibrant personality endeared him to many. He is survived by his parents, siblings, and a large extended family who cherish his memory.
