Edward Ellington, a 53-year-old man from Springfield, Ohio, was shot in the head on December 21, 2023. The shooting occurred around 4:35 PM near the intersection of Euclid Avenue and South Yellow Springs Street. Emergency responders found Ellington on the sidewalk and transported him to Springfield Regional Medical Center before he was later transferred to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2023.
