On January 11, 2024, at approximately 5:05 a.m., Columbus police officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 900 block of East 21st Avenue in Columbus, Ohio. Upon arrival, they discovered two males with gunshot wounds inside a white Chevy Malibu that had collided with multiple cars before coming to a stop.
One of the victims, identified as 21-year-old Tay Shaun Robinson, was pronounced dead at 5:38 a.m. at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center.
The second victim, a juvenile, sustained injuries but was expected to survive.
Further investigation revealed that the original location of the shooting was on the 900 block of East 19th Avenue. Columbus police homicide detectives are actively investigating the incident and have requested that residents in the area with exterior cameras review their footage for any information related to the shooting.
As of the latest reports, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and no suspects have been identified. The Columbus Police Homicide Unit is seeking information from the public to assist in their investigation.
