On February 6, 2024, Richard A. Howard, a 45-year-old resident of Springfield, Ohio, was found dead inside a vehicle parked on Mason Street. The discovery was made around 1:30 p.m. when a passerby, who was walking to a nearby funeral home, noticed a man slumped over in the driver's seat and reported seeing blood in the car. Upon arrival, police confirmed that Howard had suffered a gunshot wound to the head.
