On March 25, 2024, authorities discovered the body of 26-year-old Shemsi "Sanu" Baraka in the front yard of a residence on Sagamore Road in Walton Hills, Ohio. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office determined that Baraka, a resident of South Euclid, had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the head, ruling his death a homicide. This incident marked the first reported murder in Walton Hills in over 50 years.
