Adam Lempner, a 31-year-old man, was fatally shot in Sagamore Hills, Ohio, on May 14, 2025. The incident occurred in the late afternoon on Shearer Road near the intersection of Carlin Road. According to authorities, Lempner, who resided on Carlin Road, entered the back of a vehicle with two other individuals—a 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old man from South Euclid. While inside the car, multiple gunshots were fired, striking Lempner. The two men then pulled him from the vehicle before driving away.
The vehicle was later discovered at North Coast Behavioral Health in Northfield, where two employees called 911 to report that someone who had been shot was in their parking lot. Police confirmed that the 20-year-old man had also sustained gunshot wounds and was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center Main Campus, where he remained in stable condition. Lempner, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, was taken to Akron City Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries at 1:26 a.m. on May 15.
The Sagamore Hills Police Department and the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office are actively investigating the case. Authorities have not yet disclosed any arrests or identified suspects in connection with the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing as officials work to determine the circumstances surrounding Lempner’s death.
