Paul Wyatt Russell Jr., a 30-year-old Meridian resident, was tragically shot and killed on October 20, 2016, at the intersection of West 39th and Stockton streets in Garden City, Idaho. His death was the result of a confrontation that stemmed from an argument between his friend and Elena Ann Pena, the girlfriend of one of the shooters.
