On May 2, 2024, at approximately 1:35 p.m., Springfield Township police responded to reports of a shooting in the 2000 block of Springdale Road, near Hamilton Avenue, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Upon arrival, officers discovered 30-year-old Jairyn Blackwell, a resident of Lincoln Heights, inside his vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
