On June 17, 2024, a tragic incident occurred at the intersection of North State Route 48 and U.S. Route 42 in Lebanon, Ohio. Andrew Rainey, a 63-year-old grandfather from Lebanon, was shot in the abdomen during an alleged road rage incident. Rainey was transported to Atrium Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
