On June 24, 2024, Jha’kavion Anthony Casey, an 18-year-old from Dayton, Ohio, was critically injured in a drive-by shooting that occurred during a party. He was one of seven individuals shot that night. Following the incident, Casey was rushed to Miami Valley Hospital, where he fought for his life but ultimately succumbed to his injuries on July 2, 2024, as confirmed by the Montgomery County Coroner's Office.
