On June 25, 2024, Darrell Walker, 45, was found dead alongside Reginald Purnell, 48, at a residence on the 1200 block of Seymour Avenue in Columbus, Ohio. The discovery was made after a family member went to check on the two men and called the police around 10 a.m. Upon arrival, officers confirmed that both men had been fatally shot at the scene. The incident was part of a troubling trend in Columbus, which had seen a significant number of homicides that month.
