Demetrius Walker was a 25-year-old Black man from Cleveland, Ohio. On Sunday, July 7, 2024, he and another 25-year-old man, Trayviyon Smith, were found deceased inside a garage in the city.
The discovery was made in the 3700 block of East 93rd Street. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the two men and their deaths were investigated as suspected homicides. A spokesperson for the Cleveland Division of Police later confirmed that both Mr. Walker and Mr.
Smith were the victims of gunshot wounds.
The Cleveland Division of Police immediately launched a double homicide investigation into the shooting. Authorities began processing the scene and seeking information related to the incident.
As of an update provided in July 2024, the homicide investigation remains active and unsolved. Police have not announced any arrests in the case.
