On July 20, 2024, at approximately 6:50 p.m., Cleveland police responded to a ShotSpotter alert indicating multiple gunshots near Woodhill Road and Holton Avenue in the city's east side. Upon arrival, officers discovered 34-year-old Eric Grady with gunshot wounds. Cleveland EMS pronounced him dead at the scene.
This incident occurred less than 24 hours after two other fatal shootings in the Buckeye-Woodhill neighborhood, where a 30-year-old and a 35-year-old man were killed.
The close timing and proximity of these events raised concerns about escalating violence in the area.
As of now, there have been no arrests or publicly identified suspects in connection with Eric Grady's death. The Cleveland Police Homicide Unit continues to investigate the case. Authorities have not provided further updates regarding potential leads or motives.
