On July 20, 2024, at approximately 6:50 p.m., Cleveland police responded to a ShotSpotter alert indicating multiple gunshots near Woodhill Road and Holton Avenue in the city's east side. Upon arrival, officers discovered 34-year-old Eric Grady with gunshot wounds. Cleveland EMS pronounced him dead at the scene.
