On October 21, 2024, at approximately 6:29 p.m., Cleveland Heights police responded to a residence on Nela View Road, where they discovered 46-year-old LaTeisa LaNore Crockett deceased in her bedroom from a gunshot wound to the face. Authorities are investigating her death as a homicide and believe it was not a random incident. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
