On May 11, 2023, 17-year-old Santiago Garcia was fatally shot in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The incident occurred late in the evening during a confrontation that involved gunfire between Garcia and another individual. Police responded to reports of shots fired and found Garcia critically injured at the scene. He was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
