Erik Joseph Rael, born on January 31, 1985, in Las Vegas, San Miguel County, New Mexico, was a 17-year-old resident of Albuquerque. Tragically, he lost his life to gun violence on January 19, 2003. Erik was laid to rest at Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
