On July 2, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Clovis, New Mexico, resulting in the death of 41-year-old Ruben Mireles. The Clovis Police Department responded to a call at an apartment complex where they discovered Mireles with a gunshot wound to his upper body. Despite efforts to save him, including his 23-year-old girlfriend, Destiny Padilla, applying pressure to the wound, Mireles succumbed to his injuries.
