In the summer of 2023, a dispute between neighbors in Albuquerque, New Mexico, tragically escalated, resulting in the death of 24-year-old Jonathan Zamora. The fatal encounter occurred on the evening of July 12, 2023, when Zamora returned to his home. An ongoing conflict with a neighbor over issues including the smell of marijuana and Zamora allegedly kicking a shared fence when the neighbor's dogs were out had simmered with intensity.
