On the night of July 22, 2023, just after 11 p.m., Albuquerque Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting near Central Avenue SE and Louisiana Boulevard SE. Upon arrival, they discovered 30-year-old Brittany Shavon Geter on the southeast corner of Alcazar Street SE and Central Avenue SE, deceased from a gunshot wound.
