In the pre-dawn hours of August 13, 2023, a five-year-old girl named Galilea Samaniego was asleep in a mobile home in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was in a bedroom with her two sisters at her babysitter's residence in the Vista Del Sol mobile home park. Shortly before 6 a.m., the calm was shattered by the sound of gunfire.
