On June 23, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in Las Cruces, New Mexico, resulting in the death of 23-year-old Jacinya Pena. The incident took place around 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of Avenida del Sol and Cortez Drive on the city's East Mesa.
