On October 30, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, resulting in the death of 15-year-old Adrian Maestas Jr. Rio Rancho police responded to a shooting near the intersection of Inca Road and 2nd Street SE at approximately 4:10 PM. Upon arrival, officers found Maestas with a gunshot wound to the head.
